The design upgrades for the Hyatt Regency involved the masterplan, renovation and expansion of the hotel, paying homage to the maritime heritage of Darling Harbour. The refurbishment maximises water views and establishes a new link between the heritage sandstone buildings and the bustling harbour.

The lobby is conceived as an expansive interior piazza with a sweeping stair and cascading chandeliers, while suspended rope screens at the lobby bar speak to the site’s nautical past. Phillip Jeffries wallcoverings feature throughout – Custom 7318-Vinyl Amalfi Silk in the guest rooms, 7275-Vinyl Shine On in the ballroom corridors and 4597-Vinyl Belgian Linen II in the hotel corridors.
